This post was an update during my second Kickstarter Campaign — and I’m giving it a permanent home here — enjoy!
Hi Friends — just a quick update to share that Lulu's doing something new! Naval Station Everett in Washington state is having their summer reading program and Lulu was invited to be part of their story walk (as they talk about salmon spawns and beaver dams). I'm sure you can imagine how excited Lulu was to tell Jack! :D
The story is printed out four pages at a time on large signs. The kids read the story and then walk/run to the next sign to read the next four pages. Super fun! I put together a little activity packet for the kiddos on the trail and incorporated a trail version of "Visit la-la Land" from the activity book. Here's hoping lots of kids will skip away encouraged and dreaming big!
It's up for a couple of weeks. So, if you know anyone in the Seattle area, you can let them know that they can see Lulu live :). Seattle just so happens one of the farthest places from us in the continental U.S., so we won't be able to make it! They're supposed to be sending pics soon, and, if so, I'll be sure to share.
Again, thanks so much for backing this project. Who would have ever imagined that one day Lulu would be spotted on a naval base? This great joy would never have been possible without all of you — your support continues to mean the world to me.
