Hi Friends – I hope you all are well!
Just this morning, I received an email that inventory I sent a few weeks back is now settled at all of the different Amazon distribution centers. Woohoo! So, I’ll be officially flipping the switch — Lulu will be available for purchase this coming Tuesday, March 29th.
If you (and anyone you’d be so kind to share her with) like getting your stuff practically before you walk out to your car in the morning — then you can grab your copy on Amazon :). Or, if you’d prefer a signed copy and/or any of the extra goodies like the activity book, stickers, etc — there’ll be a link to my shop on luluthebeaver.com.
Also, obviously, I’m just getting started, so Lulu's Amazon listing is pretty buried at this point! I know honest reviews help a ton. So for any of you who would be so kind as to write me a review once this goes live, I would greatly appreciate it. I’ll send more details as we get closer.
VISITING MY OLD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Like I mentioned in my last post, we did drive to Michigan last week and I had the pleasure of walking the halls of my old elementary school and sharing about Lulu! I'm doing a Zoom read aloud with the first graders in just a couple of weeks — I'll be sure to keep you posted.
Thanks again to the backers who donated the classroom set and copies to our old school and to the other backers who connected me with current staff there. Obviously Kickstarter frowns on me disclosing your identity, but if you want to comment so I can publicly thank you, I'd love to! It was an incredible moment that I will treasure forever.
And I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I really couldn’t have gotten Lulu rolling without all of you. Sure, Kyle and I could have figured out a way to make a small press run of a few hundred books, but they would just be sitting in our garage and it still would have been uphill trying to get those copies to kids. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing a financial foundation so that we could reasonably add funds for a larger print run (which allows for distribution), but also thank you for sharing, spreading the word and for the consistent encouragement and excitement!
